Transportation

There are several ways to get to the city from the airport — please find all the updated information on the Prague Airport website.

The easiest way to travel around Prague is by metro. There are three color-coded lines.

BTC Prague takes place at PVA EXPO at Metro stop LETŇANY –  the final stop of red Line C.

You can easily see the timetables, fares, and buy or activate your ticket in the PID app.

If you prefer to travel around by car, we recommend using Bolt, Liftago, or Uber apps.

Paying with BTC

There are around 250 places in Prague where you can pay with bitcoin. 

Use BTCmap.org to find them.

Many places use a local payment processor called Qerko. Download the app (iOS, Android) and setup bitcoin payments. Then simply scan the QR code or tap the NFC sticker on your table at these venues and pay your bill using your lightning wallet.

In many cases, the staff doesn’t even know you can pay with bitcoin through Qerko, as all the processing is done in the background. Your best bet is to tell the staff you want to pay with Qerko instead of asking to pay with bitcoin. Our orange-pilling tip: Show the staff how you pay with bitcoin through Qerko, and help them to install a lightning wallet if they want to receive their tip in BTC. Who knows, they might be among next year’s BTC Prague attendees!
