SPARK

SPARK is a payment protocol designed to scale Bitcoin without the need for payment channels, unlike the Lightning Network. You don’t have to be a seasoned Bitcoin user to attend this lecture.

We’ll explain the architecture, the role of operators, and how SPARK achieves high throughput while maintaining Bitcoin-based security. We’ll compare SPARK with other approaches, such as the Ark protocol, and discuss open issues, risks, and the direction of the protocol’s future development.
