From Speculation to Survival: Bitcoin in the Real World
While much of the world still views Bitcoin primarily as a speculative asset, in many parts of Africa it is already being used as a practical financial tool for everyday life. This keynote explores how Bitcoin is enabling real economic activity in environments where traditional systems fall short.
Drawing from on-the-ground experience with Conference Bitcoin Afrique, Bitcoin Kids, and grassroots communities across English speaking & Francophone Africa, I’ll share concrete examples of circular economies, education-driven adoption, and the realities of building with Bitcoin where it matters most.
