The Invisible Battle: Who Controls the Narrative of Bitcoin Education?
In this talk, Reyna, Education Director at Mi Primer Bitcoin, explores the real-world challenges of scaling Bitcoin education, sharing personal experiences from El Salvador and insights from her role supporting global collaborations. She highlights growing risks from both external and internal influences quietly attempting to co-opt Bitcoin education and consolidate control, warning that without careful attention, we may find ourselves replicating the same centralization issues that Bitcoin seeks to escape. Reyna will discuss the importance of decentralized, open-source education, confronting diplomatic, political, and financial obstacles impacting Bitcoin adoption. This session will offer insights on how we can preserve the independence and integrity of Bitcoin education while ensuring it remains accessible, decentralized, and free from external influence.
