Bitcoin Ekasi, Founder

Hermann Buhr Vivier is the founder of Bitcoin Ekasi, a Bitcoin circular economy project in Mossel Bay, South Africa, inspired by Bitcoin Beach. Hermann first encountered Bitcoin in late 2013 thanks to an early print edition of Bitcoin Magazine. In 2015, when financial sanctions separated his tourism business from its client base, Bitcoin helped them bypass restrictions, saving the company. That experience sparked a deep interest in Bitcoin as a practical solution to problems, particularly as an uncensorable medium of exchange.
