Hermann was first introduced to Bitcoin in 2013, amidst the banking crisis in Cyprus. In 2019 he came across Bitcoin Beach and was inspired to establish Bitcoin Ekasi, building a bitcoin circular economy in a South African township, Mossel Bay.
