Eric Weiss

Eric Weiss is the founder and Chief Investment Officer for Blockchain Investment Group LP. Mr. Weiss began his career as a US Government bond trader at Morgan Stanley Dean Witter. After earning his MBA from Columbia Business School, he joined the Private Equity and Venture Capital Division of GE Capital as a Director in the internet business space. While in this role, a client company, Internet Capital Group (ICG), pursued him to join as a Director of investments in business-to-business internet companies. he also served as ICG’s board representative for number of portfolio companies. Eric moved on from ICG when he was invited to serve as a founding Principal at Stripes Group, identifying and leading investments in the online direct marketing space. Weiss has also been an active investor of personal capital in hedge funds and hedge fund of funds for over twenty years and purchased his first bitcoin in December 2013. He is a Director at Core Scientific and known for onboarding Michael Saylor into Bitcoin.
