What language is the event to be held in?

The conference is in English. The Main Stage, Expo Stage, and Expo Area are all in English. The outdoor stage for local audience is in Czech.

What is the difference between BTC Prague and other bitcoin events?

We are hosting BTC Prague in a country and city that has given the bitcoin world many great projects. The whole event was born out of this fertile ground. As organizers, we curate the topics, speakers and companies. Our goal is to talk about the most important topics, help bitcoin adoption and bring the community together. We devote our energy to making the atmosphere at the event welcoming and friendly as well, giving rise to new connections and ideas.

Any accommodation near metro line C gives you easy access to the venue within 5-min walk from the terminal station Letňany.

Who is the event for?

The event is for people who want to get introduced to bitcoin, as well as for advanced bitcoiners. Everyone will fulfill their needs at the event, including information and testing of bitcoin products and services, while meeting like-minded people.

Kids up to 8 years of age will get the Expo ticket for free at the entrance. Kids over 8 years need to have the Expo ticket purchased. Higher ticket tiers have to be purchased for all kids.

I’m new to bitcoin. Should I attend the event to learn about it?

Yes. BTC Prague is an event for everyone. The conference is focused on experienced bitcoiners and the Expo part is for anyone, newbies included. The content of the outdoor stage is aimed especially at beginners.

Will you cover “cryptocurrencies”?

This is a bitcoin-only event.

Will the talks be live streamed or recorded?

Talks are not live streamed. However, all keynote speeches and panel discussions will be recorded and available to view on our YouTube channels after the conference.

Can I record the talks and share them?

Yes. Bitcoin is open source and we follow this spirit.

Will there be reserved seating at the conference?

All seating is ‘First come, first served’. There will be separate seatings for Whale Pass hodlers close to the main stage.

What is the difference between the ticket options?

The EXPO pass is designed for bitcoin beginners.
The Conference Pass is suitable for all bitcoiners.
The Industry Pass is for professionals and bitcoiners who are looking to get involved in the Bitcoin space.
The VIP pass is the top tier level for full access to the entire event combined with the very best in service and hospitality.

Is the ticket anonymous?

At BTC Prague, we value the principles of anonymity. We don’t require any personal data during ordering and your ticket consists only of a QR code that is sent to your chosen email. You simply present your ticket in electronic or printed format at the gate for access to the event.

Can I transfer my ticket to someone else?

Yes. Since your ticket is anonymous, you can gift or sell your QR code to anyone. You do not need to inform BTC Prague if you do this, but please note that duplicate QR codes will be rejected at the door.

Can I upgrade my ticket?

Yes. It is possible to upgrade your ticket to a higher level, for example from EXPO to Conference Pass. Contact hello@btcprague.com for details.

Are there any travel restrictions to the Czech Republic?

All the Covid restrictions were canceled and there are no other restrictions to entering the Czech Republic. Please visit the official website to verify the travel requirements and updates.

What payment methods will be available at the event? How much BTC should I bring with me?

All points of sale will accept payment cards, cash, and bitcoin lightning. We suggest installing a mobile lightning wallet with some sats to spend. There will be ATMs to purchase bitcoin at the venue.

What can I bring and what is forbidden?

You are welcome to bring a backpack with electronic devices such as tablets, laptops or cameras. We strongly suggest installing a Lightning Wallet on your mobile phone and loading some Sats before attending. We recommend wearing appropriate clothing since part of the event is located outdoors.
Do not bring guns, weapons or a bad mood and please do not attend if you are ill.

Can I take pictures and videos?

Whilst it is not forbidden to take photos and videos, we ask you to respect the privacy of others attending the event. Please remember that some people may not want to be photographed or videoed, even if they are only in the background. Please remember to ask permission before taking photos or filming.

Will there be free Wi-Fi?

Yes, public Wi-Fi will be at your disposal throughout the whole venue. If you care about your privacy, we recommend using your own internet access.

Will there be alcohol for purchase?

Yes, there will be alcohol available for purchase. You have to be 18 years old to be allowed to buy alcohol in the Czech Republic. We ask that you use your best judgment around consumption. Anyone behaving in a disruptive way will be asked to leave.

Is the event family-friendly? Will there be babysitting available?

This event is not recommended for children under 10 years of age since the conference and expo is aimed specifically at adults.
No babysitting services are available on site.

Can I bring an animal?

The venue has a strict ‘no pets’ policy in place. However, this restriction does not apply to attendees who rely on service animals, such as guide dogs.
